Part L - Fuel Conservation
Part L – ‘The conservation of fuel and power’ refers to the approved documents L1a for new dwellings, and L1b for extensions and conversions.
These documents prescribe the limits of thermal design for energy assessors and SAP assessors along with other information that directly relates to the consumption of fuel in dwellings. Such elements would be central heating systems, hot water supply, lighting, and the use of renewable energy sources for example
Part L also covers commercial structures with Part L2a and L2b for new projects and extensions respectively.
Green House Calcs accredited energy assessors have an explicit knowledge of Part L1a and L1b regulations. Our experience in the building industry with degree level qualifications in civil engineering makes us the perfect choice for professional Part L requirements.
